It is not possible for any manufacturer to remain insensitive to the rapidly growing vegan and vegetarian product market in the world. IFFA, the world's leading meat trade fair, is opening its doors to vegan meat and alternative protein producers, which it is considering participating in our V-Mark Vegan Vegetarian Certification organization in the coming years. The newly named "Meat and Alternative Protein Technology" will shed light on the rapid growth of the alternative protein market.

IFFA brings together more than 49 meat industry participants from 1000 countries each year in Frankfurt am Main. In May 2022, the world-renowned event will feature key players from the entire scope of the traditional meat and vegan meat production process, including processing and packaging technology and materials. The event will also include cell-based meat producers who are raised from real animal cells through a process that does not involve raising and slaughtering the animal.
"The meat alternatives market is currently one of the world's emerging sectors and we aim to portray this development in the next IFFA," Wolfgang Marzin, President and CEO of Messe Frankfurt, said in a statement.
"The core competence of our exhibitors and visitors revolves around the processing, packaging and sales of meat and meat products since ancient times," Marzin continued. "Therefore, we look forward to broadening this focus, introducing exciting new products and discussing smart applications."
